Written by Dr. Keith Gomez @ 8:00PM

Yesterday we were very concerned – it was the worst day that Josh has had. He stopped breathing a few times. Every time they move him, he begins to take little, short, shallow breaths and he gets really anxious, and we don’t know the cause of that.

Today, however, he “wrote” some things to his mother. He looked around the room. He is more concious of what’s going on around him. He responded in times past, but now he actually knows that he is there. He knows who I am. He knows what’s going on now a little better.

We know that he does have his long term memory, because he remembers us and the names of the people who have visited.

It’s going to be a long, long haul. He is not on the upswing. He is stable but critical still.

If you would like to pray specifically, please pray for:

  • His head – they are finished with head surgeries as far as we know, but he still has a “blossoming” of a hemorrhage on the left part of his brain.
  • His lungs – he is still on the respirator. They need to keep shutting him down, so he can work on his own and be able to breathe on his own.
  • His anxiety – something is causing him to get really nervous and breathe heavy when they touch him or move him.
  • Also, his left side -  he is able to move his left foot, but pray for his left hand.
